H.E.L.P.E.R. Foundation, a community-based violence intervention agency in Venice and Los Angeles Violence Intervention Coalition member, delivers meals and bouquets to spread peace in the Venice community.
Urban Peace Institute and the Los Angeles Violence Intervention Coalition are continuing their efforts on the local and national levels to ensure Los Angeles City and County invests $400M in community-based intervention and prevention agencies. Peacemakers are credible messengers and are proven to save lives in their communities. They continue to mediate, communicate, and mentor community members to prevent gang and gun violence. It takes people with lived experience, love for their community, and passion to lead the path towards generational healing, justice, and peace.
