There is evidence that our community violence intervention approach works in Los Angeles. Increased investment in community violence intervention will save lives, and create peace on our streets.

When professionally trained intervention workers respond to a homicide in Los Angeles, the chance of a retaliatory killing falls to less than 1%. Stopping retaliatory shootings saves lives from being lost. With gun violence now the leading cause for the death for American children, every life saved is essential.
