Holiday Cards for Incarcerated Youth in Central Juvenile Hall

The Urban Peace Institute joined its partners in the Los Angeles Youth Uprising Coalition (LAYUP), including the Arts and Healing Justice Network, to make holiday cards for incarcerated youth in Central Juvenile Hall.

In hard times when youth are away from loved ones during the holiday, community and youth leaders wrote thoughtful holiday cards and provided resources for when they get released. These cards provided a reminder to youth that they are not alone and they have community waiting for them outside.
