Celebrating a $12.8M Victory!

Urban Peace Institute is celebrating the passage of $12.8M in Care First Community Investment (CFCI) funding for Peacemakers. The funding will provide communities in Los Angeles County with the resources to combat and prevent violence within predominantly Black and Brown communities. We applaud the County for stepping up to provide intervention workers with the investment they deserve.

A huge shoutout to the Los Angeles Violence Intervention Coalition for advocating to #FundPeacemakers! This victory would not be possible without their dedication and success in reducing community violence and saving lives. We are eager to see the positive impacts this investment will have on community safety and the well-being of peacemakers.
