Harvard Park Community Walks for Safety

Urban Peace Institute led a Community Walk on Saturday alongside community leaders and participants of the Harvard Park School Safety Collaborative! Starting at Augustus Hawkins High, the group walked to promote pedestrian safety, encourage vehicles to slow down, and administer surveys to identify community needs.

Our safety efforts in Harvard Park are strengthened by support from the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation with a commitment to providing all Angelenos an opportunity to thrive. The Foundation’s support has helped the Urban Peace Institute expand the School Safety Collaborative and implement positive activities such as the walk.
