Urban Peace Academy Graduates

Urban Peace Institute is proud to congratulate the newest graduating class of peacemakers from the Urban Peace Academy! Graduates include community violence intervention workers from Los Angeles Violence Intervention Coalition agencies, as well as street outreach workers from organizations serving communities in the City and County of Los Angeles.

The Academy's 80-certification course trains peacemakers in topics such as license to operate, mediation & conflict resolution, professional standards, trauma-informed practices, importance of self-care and worker wellness, and more. With the help of expert instructors, the Urban Peace Academy is playing a pivotal role in professionalizing the field and ensuring equitable community safety solutions for all.
