New Video Series: Peace on our Streets!
Urban Peace Institute launched a new video series, Peace on our Streets, where well-respected Los Angeles leaders in intervention speak on the unique role it has in the community, ways to push the profession forward, and their personal stories to create peace. Peace on our Streets uplifts the voices of intervention and highlights the impact of peacemakers to save lives in Black and Brown communities.
In the first episode, Skipp Townsend and Fernando Rejón speak about how being proactive in the public safety realm as a peacemaker saves lives. We also discuss how education and trainings can be pivotal for peacemakers to be better leaders in the community, and the role 2nd Call has in healing community members.
